Keeping Your Deliverance and Living a Clean Life
Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit
- Zechariah 4:6
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. - Psalm 145:7-8
God Who Loves You, Offers Christians Gracious Supernatural Help Quitting Sin, Since You're Not Expected to do so with Human Will Power & Grit
When I first read Matthew 5:28 which says "...everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart", I think I blew a fuse and said to myself "HOW am I ever going to do THIS?"
As a new Christian I had been convicted about my porn usage and leering at women to where I wanted to stop, I had no ability to stay away from it longer than 4-6 weeks at a time.
I struggled like this for 10 years.
After 20 years as a Christian I am now graced to read 1 Thessalonians 4:4, "That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor", and I've been graced to realize that 1 Thessalonians 4:4 says that a Christian has been given in the Bible every means needed to live the clean holy life demanded by many Bible verses.
I'm talking supernatural power beyond mere will power of the Christian against sin. and it was written since it is written ...
"Be careful that nobody spoils your faith through intellectualism or high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, and disregards Christ."
- Colossians 2:8
... so we need to guard ourselves from adopting an intellectual zero power, flesh and not Spirit, man's sweat and not God's power, strategy for living a clean Christian life.

Just as an aircraft carrier battle group has a network of defenses protecting the aircraft carrier, the Bible provides a network of supernatural defenses for the Christian to utilize against his flesh and Satan to live a clean life, beyond mere will power or the useless un-biblical doctrines implicated in Colossians 2:8:
Your Network of Divine Defenses:
Typically, your pastor will preach like this on how to "battle" porn:
Don't get me wrong, these are all important, but they are to be used alongside divine defenses.
The lack of divine help in the life of the American Christian means porn is a gigantic problem
One study says 2/3 of Christian men view porn monthly, while another says 20% of women claim to be porn addicts.
Let's begin with Spiritual help in this New Covenant:
1) Get Water Baptized (fully immersed) and Believe and Say You Are a New Man in Christ - Romans 12:2 says we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Joshua 1:8 says that we should constantly be thinking about and saying Bible verses to be a total success. Proverbs 18:21 says, "What you say can preserve life or destroy it!" (Good News Translation). The Contemporary English version translates it as, "Words can bring death or life!" Therefore the words we speak over ourselves and others, are critical. Also Romans 10:9-10 and Mark 11:23 make it clear that believing and saying the promises of God, activate God's power in our lives. So let's look at what God says about Christians after we are born again, the Holy Spirit enters us, and we get water baptized:
a) dead to sin – Romans 6:2
b) free from sin – Romans 6:18, 22
c) walk in newness of life – Romans 6:4
d) baptized into Jesus Christ – Romans 6:3
e) circumcised with the circumcision made without hands – Colossians 2:11
f) new creatures – 2 Corinthians 5:17
g) risen with Christ - Colossians 2:12 & 3:1
h) seated with Christ - Ephesians 2:6
Romans 6:3 where you are "baptized" into Jesus Christ, and then "walk in newness of life" in Romans 6:4 show us how water baptism changes us into the "new creatures" of 2 Corinthians 5:17 that are "more than conquerors" of Romans 8:37. This refers to full immersion water baptism.
We know the Greek word "baptizo" means "full immersion" since we've found at least one ancient Greek recipe for making pickles where one does "baptizo" a cucumber, and it becomes a pickle. So baptism transforms us from the sinful sick pre-Christian self we used to be called the “old man” at Romans 6:6, Ephesians 4:22, and Colossians 3:9, into new creatures that overcome the world, and it's even more obviously essential since Jesus said in Mark 16:16 "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved".
So when we believe and say Bible verses like Romans 6:2, 3, 4, 18, 21 Colossians 2:11, 2 Corinthians 5:17 that we are dead to sin, free from sin, walk in newness of life, baptized into Jesus Christ, circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, and new creatures as described in the New Testament, then we activate the promises of God about who we are in Christ in our lives, and the temptation will instantly disappear supernaturally, and we get built up in and increasingly believe what God did to us and says we are.
2) Play an Audio Bible all the Time - The Bible provides supernatural evidence that God wrote it by saying what happens thousands of years before it happens accurately and specifically. So when the Bible says its words are cleansing, spirit, life, comfort, patience, then playing them in your presence fills the air with spirit life comfort and patience, so they not only strengthen your soul and body and increase your faith, but they also literally keep demons away.
A friend of mine told me he left an audio Bible playing and a plant grew in its direction, and also one of his sick cats laid down next to a playing audio Bible and it got healed. Another benefit to this is you cultivate the grounds of your soul to hear from the Holy Spirit, as you will remember and apply FAR MORE Bible than you would otherwise.
Eventually, the poison of television will grate on your soul as obvious dreck, and the words of the Bible will be ever more sweet.
In contrast the Bible has no lies and the words of the Bible are critical for building a life and family that grows strong, conquers adversity, represents the Kingdom of God, helps sinners find life and live forever in the sight and praise of God.
So the Bible tells us the truth when it says to avoid "vain and profane talk" such as the kind that literally fills television, YouTube, and even the rather dignified and stately "news".
A friend of mine got a dream a short while ago, that told him he needs to be in his Bible for his faith to grow to receive a certain blessing in his life. So he started listening to the New Testament a lot, and praying in the Spirit while listening to them.
I even play an audio Bible while I sleep, and crank up the volume when I wake up. Glory to Jesus! Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” so making sure we keep an audio Bible on, helps us maintain an atmosphere of faith that grows us up in Christ throughout our days.
If you have any doubt that the Bible alone is God’s message to humanity, then please read and understand how and why the Bible is set apart from all other books.
The Bible alone says what happens thousands of years before it happens with accuracy and specificity. No other “Holy Book” does this. Only the infinite God who made space and time can see through time. Neither men nor devils can do this. This is the signature of God on the Bible alone, so that you may trust it fully with your eternal destiny.
For example, either Moses, Ezekiel, and Jeremiah implemented time travel thousands of years before the atomic age so that they could conspire to encode in their words the number of years until Israel would be born, or God wrote the Bible. It’s much easier to believe God wrote the Bible!
I invite you to read the research of Grant Jeffrey in the book “The Signature of God” for how this is so.
3) Use your God Given Royal Authority to Command Your Flesh To Stop Lusting - As a Born Again Christian who has been baptized you are a new creature per 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Jesus is living in you per Galatians 2:20 and the Holy Spirit is living in you per Romans 8:9,11,15 and others, and 1 Peter 2:9 calls us "royal" since we are sons & daughters of a great king God. We also have Christ living in us per Galatians 2:20 and the Holy Spirit living in us per John 14:26. Therefore just as Christians in the book of Acts have authority over demons and sickness, we live under the same New Covenant they did so we also have authority over demons & devils as they did, and also authority over our own flesh. So we look at our flesh and say per Mark 11:23 and Proverbs 18:21 because we are God the Father's adopted children with Jesus and the Holy Spirit living in us, "In Jesus' name, my flesh, stop lusting!!" and our flesh calms right down. This is great! It also works on demons and sickness. For more on this please watch William Lau's Elijah Challenge.
4) Bind Demons At the Start of and Throughout Each Day - This is another way to use your royal authority over demons. "In Jesus' name all demons & devils reminding me of [insert name of ex-lover or porn actress], go and NEVER come back!!" I remember hearing a testimony where someone told the "voices" bothering him to "go and never come back" and they got fainter and fainter until gone. This can be likened to the outer defenses of an aircraft carrier group, sending missiles to approaching threats afar off. Don't let demons near you, let THEM fear approaching YOU. This can even be done before you get out of bed. Praise be to God!
5) Break Soul Ties to Things you Have Lusted After - We can break 1 Samuel 18:1 soul-ties between ourselves and people we have lusted after like this, "In Jesus' name I BREAK all soul ties between myself and [insert name of ex-lover]" or "In Jesus' name I BREAK all soul ties between myself and [insert name of porn actress]." Keep saying that over and over, until you are free, since Mark 11:23, Proverbs 18:21, and Joshua 1:8 are true from the mouth of God.
6) Deliverance from Demons - If you've been lied to that Christians can not have Demons, then my condolences that you were lied to, and my joy and congratulations that the burdens that men placed on you are now lifted. Said demons can be cast out in Jesus' name by having the Christian renounce the sins that brought the demon in, and then either an anointed command, or repeated commands from Christians like "In Jesus' name, demon, GO!" until it leaves. Depending on the demon and the believers, it might take a single whispered command while sitting in Starbucks against a demon 1/2 way across the country, or it might take a group of believers 30 minutes, or it might take Norvel Hayes all night or 5 days to cast out a demon. But the main point is, if you don't quit, then the demon MUST go. If Pastor Lukewarm is clueless about this, then get yourself a better pastor, please.
7) Worship Jesus
Psalms 37:4 - Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Matthew 28:16-17 - Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him: but some doubted.
John 4:21-23 - Jesus said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour is coming, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
Psalms 106:47 - Save us, O LORD our God, And gather us from among the Gentiles, To give thanks to Your holy name, to triumph in Your praise.
Hebrews 12:28 - Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping Him with holy fear and awe.
As we praise and worship God in Spirit and in truth, not only are we strengthened as we praise and worship God per many Bible promises, but also God works it out through angels and the Holy Spirit to give us everything we want, which includes a Godly spouse that meets all our needs or contentment if we are to be single.
8) Praying in the Spirit a.k.a. Praying in Tongues - Builds you up from the inside out, and handles problems for you before they get on your radar, and accomplish the will of God for other Christians. A very unselfish way to pray, which also steers many temptations from your path. Many Bible verses testify to this. Some say this "passed away" or is only for 1st century Christians, however God sees through time and therefore would have no need to fill 1 Corinthians 14 with useless outdated information. Also there is no New Covenant for the 1st century, and another for the centuries afterward. Rather the New Covenant was given "once for all" per Hebrews 7:27, 10:10,12,14 and 1 Peter 3:18, so the same New Covenant they had in the Book of Acts where they cast out demons, healed the sick and prayed in the Spirit, and the same New Covenant where Paul the Apostle prayed in the Spirit "more than ye all", is the same New Covenant we live under, so we need to pray in the Spirit as they did as part of a victorious Christian life.
9) Do Not Stuff Yourself at the Buffet - When Paul said "I buffet my body" it did not mean he frequented the local Corinthian "all you can eat" to shove maximum food into his gullet. Jesus said in Matthew 9:15 & Luke 5:35 "they will fast", but if you are not fasting, then DO NOT overeat, as that is sin and sin multiplies your temptations - Ezekiel 16:49 tells us God does not take kindly to over-eating, or stuffing ourselves, and carrying around the extra 40+ pounds. Thus like any sin, we lower the Job 1:10 Godly hedge of protection on our lives when we go beyond not fasting into regularly eating too much.
10) Get Prayed For - It's a great blessing having two or more Christians break curses, bind demons, and command blessings over your life as you listen and receive. It's a major load off, like the front-line of the battle being moved several miles away. I got prayed for and a colossal backache got cut 80% the next morning, and a long running waste of time habit disappeared, and things are looking up. For those of you that didn't have Christian parents, this will be a BIG help. If you have no one to pray for you, form a prayer group where everyone prays for everyone else. I remember a sister with a 2 year ordeal got a major victory in 10 minutes of 4 Christians praying for her situation. Then she stopped coming for prayer and fell back into it, so we prayed again and she instantly got the victory again. Gang up on demons with the brethren when you Hebrews 10:25 meet.
11) Break Curses - If a witch or a coven or a Satanist or someone like that has placed a curse on you or your family, it will need to be broken for you to have freedom to repent. Go to this page to learn how.
12) Confession of sins to God for self and fathers- Per 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" so when we confess our sins to God, we restore right standing with God, and can "worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness" once again. Another critical verse that's overlooked is Leviticus 26:40 that says we also confess the sins of our fathers, plural. We see Daniel do this in his prayers, and it's done in other places in the Bible. We don't die for the sins of our fathers if we don't confess them, but not confessing them means we do carry a burden we don't need to. Let's cast that off.
13) Read or listen to Hell testimonies - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding" says Proverbs 9:10 You want the fear of God like never before? Listen to some testimonies of Christians that have been shown Hell and it's horrors, and that will do metric tons for your voluntary reverent fear of God for his holy separation from sin so that you have lots of eagerness for 1 John 3:3 "every man that has this hope in Him purifies himself, even as He is pure." On 2nd thought this isn't divine, but I haven't seen it anywhere else.
14) Read or listen to anointed sermons - This also works with anointed sermons to help you do works of faith for God like casting out devils or healing the sick.
15) Tithe to Missionaries - ... so they spread the Gospel, and time to study the Bible so they can teach Godly truths that help people live supernaturally on God's strength, so God will rebuke demons for you that want to attack your income, job, career, crops, industry, etc, and thus you will live with much more peace and stability, which helps you live clean.
16) Do Communion - Examine yourself and repent of your sins, taking extra care to forgive everyone per Mark 11:26, and do communion in light of 1 Corinthians 11:23-11:34 esteeming the unleavened bread and fruit of the vine as the healthy, strong, blessed, always regenerating eternal body and blood and life of the Lord Jesus that remind you that, "as He is so are we in the world." I remember two days when I blew off Communion while others were doing it since, "[it doesn't do anything for me]" and I gotta tell you those were two nights I hardly slept, and I was a miserable hot mess of sin and discouragement those two following days. Then I did communion several times the following night and I slept well, and the next day I didn't even want to read the news it seemed so boring compared to the things of God. Then a few days later I again did communion several times, and I slept well again, and about a week's pay showed up in my checking account that had been held up for months.
17) Also tithe to your teachers
Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the Gospel.
- I Corinthians 9:14
Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.
- Galatians 6:6
We tithe to missionaries so they have funds to spread the Gospel, and time to study the Bible so they can teach Godly truths that help people live supernaturally on God's strength, so God will rebuke demons for you that want to attack your income, job, career, crops, industry, etc, and thus you will live with much more peace and stability, which helps you live clean.
The "tithing not required, tithing is optional" heresy is making its rounds again.
A while back I re-connected with a Christian preacher who had been preaching this "no need to give for God's work" error: he was newly poor and begging for money.
It isn't "ironic" that a Christian preaching against tithing -- which is preaching against God's plan for funding missionaries to deliver the Gospel -- makes that Christian poor?
"Tithing is optional" is error and damnable sin. It starves the Gospel of funds, so the Gospel is not preached, so people go to Hell, and also Christians aren't getting their finances blessed and protected by Father God by giving to His work.
Why should God bless this error?
I'm sad for his sake, but not surprised. What is God supposed to do, make preachers who spread this "tithing is optional" error rich with an over abundance of support from the people he "blessed" with teaching which sabotages funding of Godly missionaries, and denies Father God the chance to bless Christians in response to obedience in tithing?
No.
Tithing is extremely easy: we cheerfully and in love give God 10% of our gross income to missionaries who spread and/or teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and then Father God who knows everything and never sleeps, protects our income from demonic plans for destruction.
It's like having the ultimate insider watching your back at work.
Bear in mind, this doesn’t mean you get to knowingly carry on sinning in some other area of your life.
You know someone spreading the Gospel? Send some of your tithe money to them.
You have a teacher that pours their Bible knowledge into you? Send some of your tithe to them also.
18) Help the poor
He that has pity on the poor lends to the LORD; and that which he has given will He pay him again.
Proverbs 19:17
... and whoever gives to the rich, becomes poor.
Proverbs 22:16
He answers and says to them, “He that has two coats, let him give to him that has none; and he that has food, let him do likewise.” - Luke 3:11
For I was hungry, and ye gave me food: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. - Matthew 25:35-36
And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold [water] only in the name of a disciple, verily I say to you, he shall in no way lose his reward. - Matthew 10:42
Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. - Acts 2:44-45
Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold and laid them at the apostles' feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. - Acts 4:32-35
. . . Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world ... The disciples, each according to his ability, decided to provide help for the brothers living in Judea. This they did, sending their gift to the elders by Barnabas and Saul. - Acts 11:28-30
I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye should support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” - Acts 20:35
But by an equality, [that] now at this time your abundance [may be a supply] for their lack, that their abundance also may be [a supply] for your want: that there may be equality: - II Corinthians 8:14
Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem. I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame. I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out. - Job 29:12-16
When we look at the life of Job we sometimes marvel at his wealth, and we might miss that he did have a clean life that included fathering the poor, the fatherless, the widows, the blind, the lame.
You want the supernatural favor of God on your life? Love and help the poor.
Buy him a sandwich. Buy her a jacket. Buy him some shoes. Buy her new pants. They get it stolen from them? Buy it again. They had it stolen a third time? Buy it again. It got stolen a fourth time? Maybe you should pray for them or with them? Maybe you should help them move? Maybe you should buy them a Bible and reading glasses?
Show Father God He can trust you with money, and you will have plenty.
19) Fight Evil, Cast out Devils, Heal the Sick
And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth. – Job 29:17
The Christian people of the former Communist East Germany did use their faith in Christ to oppose the Communist regime running and ruining their nation, until it fell. They kept at it in Jesus’ name, until they saw those things they were calling for explode into reality, and suddenly they were free.
When you read about the life of Dumitru Duduman, he did use his faith in Christ in the former Communist Romania to run an underground Church, and fast and pray in the Spirit until angels would show up and help him smuggle Bibles in.
Good times rubbing elbows with angels! Never a dull moment!
Norvel Hayes talked about how a certain executive of a city or state would pray over his city or state continually, and it had a noticeable drop in crime.
So just as you bind and curse demons that oppose you and your loved ones, also bind and curse demons and devils that oppose the people of your nation, or help evil.
Other ways to "fight the wicked" are to learn divine healing, command healing, cast out devils, since sickness and demons ruling, are wickedness manifested, since God loves everyone, and wants them to see the love of Jesus Christ through healing and deliverance.
20) Walk in Love, Forgiveness, Godly thoughts, Joy of the Lord, Trusting God moment by moment, Expectation, Immersed in Good Works, Love, and Jesus
Someone once summarized Christianity as “Love God, love people”. How do we think and act in love? Philippians 4:8 says that we think good things about everything, so we think and say good things about people, and we show kind affection and even forgiveness toward people that hate and/or wronged us since the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their sins, neither will your Father forgive your sins" and we definitely want Father God to completely forgive our sins so we go to Heaven not Hell.
Now remember that Jesus also said, "Don't give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." in Matthew 7:6.
So we realize why Jesus and Paul weren’t above fleeing dangerous situations where people wanted them dead. Be sure to avoid dangerous people, as you forgive them. But for common sinners, forgive them quickly so no root of bitterness grows in your heart so that it doesn’t become an impediment to answered prayer per Mark 11:25-26 saying, "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions" where the Lord Jesus ties prayer to the need to forgive others.
Finally when we pray we believe that we receive from God per Mark 11:23 and we shall have it, without being double-minded about Father God holding back Godly requests from us. Finally, we read 1 Peter 5:7 and we cast all of our worries, all of our concerns, all of our anxieties, once and for all, on Father God, and trust Him to take care of them.
We not longer fret and worry about the many pressures and "fiery trials which are to try you" of life, and we "count it all joy" and "rejoice" "through the valley of the shadow of death" with many praises of God, and the Words of God in our hearts, so that we have "good success" and our lives do not fall despite many winds rains and floods, since they are "built upon the rock", since we heard the Word of God and did them.
21) Emotional Healing
If it hurts to remember certain things, Jesus wants to heal you right now, easily.
22) Say you are strong
Romans 10:9-10, Mark 11:23, and Proverbs 18:21 say that our words are powerful, so we can use them to build us up from the inside out. Use that power to say you are strong, and as you say it, it will build strength.
23) Receive a Prophetic Word
I carried a burden I was never meant to bear for seven years, after someone dealt with me in bad faith. Finally at my wits end on what to do, I remembered a friend of a friend that receives accurate prophetic words from God, and settled it in my mind to go to him. Once I did he told me that the burden did not exist in the eyes of God. I asked about an oath I had made to keep this burden, and he told me immediately that since I am married to Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ knew I could never keep that oath when I made it, He disavowed it the day I made it per Numbers 30. I then received that prophetic word, and was unburdened, and once again had strength, joy, and optimism for the future.
24) Find a Great Group of Like Minded Christians
Hebrews 10:25 says we make sure we gather with other Christians, to encourage and bear the burdens of others, and be encouraged as others help us bear our burdens. We are all parts of the body of Christ per 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 and Romans 12:5, so we all need each other.
25) If You Can't Control Yourself, Get Married
I remember asking for prayer so I could find a wife, and the advice I got was unBiblical and horrible (but I repeat myself), and from hypocrites.
I got Christians married for decades, telling me to be content with my loneliness.
Or attractive Christian singles with pets with customer facing jobs (waitressing or nursing) were telling me how content they are, and subtly implying I should also be likewise content in "solitude" without a life-mate, unaware their circumstances did much to put them in that state.
In contrast, the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 7:9, "if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn."
That's quite the departure from the married Christians with pets who get flirted with 25-100 times a day, telling me to be content by myself.
Does anyone pray for single Christians? Or do Christians engage their well exercised tale-bearing muscles to quickly form a firing squad of the self-righteous when someone gets pregnant outside of marriage, or another via despair sinks into porn?
Typically no, because the ministers are too busy being married, or pastoring to notice anyone is single.
So make sure whoever you marry is God's choice, and also desiring to be a 100% Christian, in love for God and man, in humble generosity to each other, protective of each other.
26) Listen to a sermon by Frank Hammond called, "Keeping Your Deliverance"
The writer of "Pigs in the Parlor" which is one of the standard modern Christian works on casting demons out, also gave a sermon on what's involved in keeping yourself delivered of demons.
You can enjoy that sermon at this link.
27) Keep your eyes on Jesus
I got the following from a Telegram group called "Bible" at this link.
“Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” Titus 2:13 NKJV
Trusting in Christ’s return and our ultimate victory is what will sustain us in these days of disillusionment with some of our national leaders, the devaluing of our money, and the devastation of wars being fought on various continents at the same time.
And don’t let some television talk show host play on your fears in order to promote his or her ratings. Jesus said, “Keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Mt 24:42 NIV). In other words, “Be alert, but don’t be afraid.”
Admiral James Stockdale spent eight grueling years in a Vietnam prisoner-of-war camp. What sustained him? He said: “I never lost faith in the end of the story. I never doubted not only that I would get out, but also that I would prevail in the end and turn the experience into the defining event of my life, which, in retrospect, I would not trade.”
When asked, “Who didn’t make it out?” Stockdale replied: “Oh, that’s easy…they were the ones who said, ‘We’re going to be out by Christmas.’ And Christmas would come, and Christmas would go. Then they’d say, ‘We’re going to be out by Easter.’ And Easter would come, and Easter would go. And then Thanksgiving, and then it would be Christmas again. And they died of a broken heart.”
The courage needed to stand between the two extremes of current trouble and ultimate triumph is found in these words of Scripture: “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV). The One who gave you your start has guaranteed you a glorious finish.
28) Keep Going
Never stop growing in Christ.
Some people get some success, and think they are the cornerstone of Christianity (wrong, that’s Jesus, not them) and they stop listening and growing, and become un-teachable.
Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished. – Ecclesiastes 4:13
May you never be like the old and foolish king, because Father God is infinite and it will take all of eternity for us to know the height, width, length, and depth of His love.
If you’re the best Christian in town, Father God has more for you to learn about Jesus, so keep being open to learning more.
If you’re the best Christian in your nation, Father God still yet has more for you, be humble enough to realize it.
So likewise you, when you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, “We are unworthy servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” – Luke 17:10
Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. – Matthew 23:12
There’s always more for you in Christ.
… Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. – Ephesians 6:10
May you find it with much time with the Bible, and many praises.
The Bible is God’s Word, Therefore you Can Trust What it Says
If you have any doubt that the Bible alone is God’s message to humanity, then please read and understand how and why the Bible is set apart from all other books.
The Bible alone says what happens thousands of years before it happens with accuracy and specificity. No other “Holy Book” does this. Only the infinite God who made space and time can see through time. Neither men nor devils can do this. This is the signature of God on the Bible alone, so that you may trust it fully with your eternal destiny.
For example, either Moses, Ezekiel, and Jeremiah implemented time travel thousands of years before the atomic age, or God wrote the Bible.
Furthermore the Bible we have is preserved since the books in the Bible don't contradict one another. Please see this page for details.

Typically, your pastor will preach like this on how to "battle" porn:
- Be Where You are Supposed to Be, in a ministry fighting the Lord's battles, unlike King David who was not fighting wars like he should have been per 2 Samuel 11:1 and saw a pretty thing and fell into lust
- Don't be overly confident per 1 Corinthians 10:12 lock down your electronic devices so you can't download new apps, not going to be alone with women in any context, can't erase history, everything is tracked. I'm not normally weak enough to stoop to using porn, but I may be someday, so why resist a temptation in the future, that I have the power to eliminate today?
- Feeling Entitled since your spouse isn't meeting your needs, and all your friends are hooking up
- If you fall, confess to God for forgiveness per 1 John 1:9, and confess to other Christians so they can pray for you and you can be healed per James 5:16
- Make sure you get enough sleep, which helps you focus enough to yield to the Holy Spirit, and to resist the devil. Witches and Satanists send spells to disrupt sleep in Christians, so if you get a sleepless night then break curses, and praise/worship until sleep comes back.
