Have the Sharp Words of Others Lingered and Hurt Longer than they should Have? Have you Been Betrayed Hard?
Jesus Wants to Heal Your Heart, Right Now.
In the Old Testament it is written that the Messiah would come to "bind up the brokenhearted," therefore Emotional Healing as taught by Praying Medic, is something we can receive by faith in Jesus Christ. This means we ask the Lord Jesus to take the wounds of our hearts and replace those hurting wounds with peace, healing, and joy and then we receive them by acting on the Word of Jesus being true, by saying we have received it, and praising and thanking the Lord Jesus for doing it because He is loving, merciful, and disposed to show favors.
So we say something like, "Jesus take my (negative) X and Y emotions about what happened on date D, and I give you thanks and praise since you have now replaced (past tense) them with (positive) emotions A and B" as many times as needed, since the more we say something, the more we believe it, since Proverbs 18:21 and Mark 11:23 are Bible promises that we reap the fruits of our words.
Put another way, "Confession brings possession."
Therefore because it is written in 1 Peter 2:24, "by His stripes we WERE healed" and it is also written in 2 Peter 1:3, "According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness" it means our blessings have been broadcast since Jesus Christ died on the cross.
Therefore one of the highest forms of faith is, "I thank you and praise you Father, we HAVE received our request" and we see Jesus do that when He says at Lazarus' grave "I thank you Father you HAVE heard my prayer." 1 Peter 2:21 says we follow Jesus "in His footsteps" and Peter learned from the Lord Jesus face to face, so we pray the way Jesus prayed, and we pray according to the Bible.
If you can't remember the events, or can't remember dates, just identify the emotion(s) you feel, give them to Jesus and ask Him to heal the wound in your soul, and then receive that healing by faith by speaking out loud your praise and thanks at having already received it since Jesus is loving, merciful, and disposed to show favors to those that know Him, and therefore trust Him.
Do this for each negative emotion or memory whether you remember where it's from or not, as many times as needed since God told us in both Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1:2 to meditate on the Word day and night.
So if you need healing in your heart to be ready for life's great battles, and not be triggered by folks that Satan sends your way, then what else is there to do?
Then once those places in your heart are healed, when you remember the events, the memories will be without the pain of emotional woundings or trauma, then you can be surrounded by difficult irksome people, and have long patience and love for them.
Have I proven this teaching out in my own life? Why, yes.
I had a colossal friendship-ending fight with a now ex-friend, who took out her personal frustrations on me with some stupendously venomous personal attacks grounded in lies, while she also returned evil for good, after being on the verge of giving me a big blessing.
That was hard to take.
So beyond being devastated, I had to look up PTSD, because my heart hurt so very badly, continually, with much anger at being so wildly betrayed, for terrible "reasons", after I had been very good to her, even commanding their physical pain to go away before their shift, and praise be to God, it did.
So after about 40 hours of this continuous rending of my heart, while in bed in the morning I lifted up wound #1 to the Lord Jesus from this fight with this person, and I praised Him and thanked him that He is loving merciful and gracious, and that I’m giving Jesus these wounds and in exchange I have received peace healing and joy in their place, and at that I yawned and perhaps something left me.
Then I recalled the much more traumatizing moment of wound #2 of this exchange, and I gave it to the Lord Jesus and I told Him that He is loving merciful and gracious to take the pain and shame from me, and I did then believe that I received peace healing and joy for that much larger trauma also.
At that moment I heaved the largest yawn of my life possibly, but also in that all the remaining torment left, and I am my self again.
